AI CPQ that drafts the quote and leaves the decision to you
AI CPQ hands the quoting legwork to an AI agent: it reads your deal notes or the contract, builds the quote from your catalog and prices it against the live subscription. Bunny is SaaS billing, CPQ and RevOps for B2B SaaS, and its RevOps Agent does AI quoting inside the same system that bills the deal. Every quote it writes stays a draft until a person applies it.
How does AI quoting work in Bunny?
The agent does the typing. You keep the judgement. Every AI quote goes through the same four steps.
-
01 · Tell it the deal
Plain language, notes or a contract
Type what the customer wants, paste your call notes, or upload the signed contract or a pricing sheet. The agent pulls out the plan, quantities, term and pricing.
-
02 · It drafts the quote
Built from your catalog and live data
New business, quantity or price changes, renewals and price-list migrations, with discounts, ramps and free periods. Changes start from the customer’s current subscription, not a blank page.
-
03 · You review it
Your rules still apply
The quote sits in Bunny as a draft. Read it, change it, or throw it away. Ask the agent to preview the next invoice first. The approval flows your team already uses still apply.
-
04 · A person applies it
Then it’s real
Applying the quote is a deliberate step. Only then does it become a subscription, a billing schedule and an invoice. Nothing bills a customer before that.
What stops an AI quote from going off the rails?
Nobody wants an AI quietly repricing their biggest account at 2am. Bunny is fast on the boring bits and careful with the money.
- Prices come from your catalog The agent quotes from your price lists. A negotiated rate shows up as a discount or price change on the draft, where you can see it.
- Drafts until a person applies them Every quote the agent writes is a draft. Applying it is a separate, explicit step, and nothing bills a customer until that happens.
- Your permissions, not its own The agent acts as the person who asked. It can only see and change what that person could see and change in Bunny.
- Questions can’t break things Read-only tools are genuinely read-only. Looking up a customer’s contract can’t change their subscription, invoice or price.
- Approval rules still run The approval flows your team already uses still apply. A quote that trips a rule on amount, discount, product, plan or billing period can’t be shared until it’s approved.
What the agent actually does
A renewal with a 5% uplift and a 10% discount, as it runs through Bunny’s MCP tools.
The same tools power the in-app agent, the Slack bot and the Bunny MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients.
What can you ask an AI CPQ agent to do?
Real requests the Bunny RevOps Agent handles today. Be specific with names, plans, quantities and dates, and you get a quote you barely need to touch.
“Create a new subscription for Bluestar Financial on the Pro plan with 10 users.”
New-business quote
A draft quote priced from the Pro price list, ready for you to review.
“Increase Happy Smiles Inc to 25 users starting on May 1st 2026.”
Mid-term change
A draft change quote from the live subscription, prorated from the date you gave.
“Apply a 10% discount on the next renewal for Jones & Co.”
Renewal quote
A draft renewal with the discount on it. The current contract stays untouched.
“Renew Acme with a 5% uplift.”
Renewal with uplift
A draft renewal with every charge repriced by 5%.
“Create a subscription from this contract. [acme-contract.pdf]”
Contract to quote
Plan, users, price and term read from the PDF, confirmed with you before anything is created.
“Import the plans and pricing from example.com/pricing.”
Catalog setup
Products, plans and price lists the next quote can price from.
“Which customers are currently getting discounts?”
Read-only lookup
An answer from live data. Nothing changes.

Is AI CPQ only as good as the CPQ underneath it?
Yes. An AI bolted onto a quoting tool that can’t see the subscription will draft a confident, wrong renewal. Bunny’s agent works off the same catalog-rooted data that drives quoting, billing, provisioning and revenue recognition, so the quote it drafts already knows what the customer has, what they pay and when they renew.
