Bunny launches Australian data region for B2B SaaS billing

We have just launched the Bunny Australia Region, hosted on AWS in Sydney. Australian customers can now run their entire billing stack – quoting, self-service, billing, invoices, revenue recognition – with all data stored in-country.

What’s driving this

We’ve been talking to Australian SaaS companies for a while, and the same issue keeps coming up: data sovereignty.

The Australian Privacy Act has teeth. Legal and compliance teams at Australian companies – and multinationals with Australian customers – want clear, documented answers about where financial and customer data lives. “It’s in AWS somewhere” doesn’t cut it when you’re handling contracted revenue, billing data, and customer records.

Opening an in-country region was the right answer. It removes the compliance question entirely.

The Australia Region runs the full Bunny platform with no feature restrictions.

Quoting and CPQ – Create quotes, run approval workflows, collect e-signatures, and convert to subscriptions. The complete quote-to-cash flow runs in-country.

Subscription and amendment management – Upgrades, downgrades, seat changes, mid-cycle amendments, renewals. All processed and stored in Australia.

Product catalog – Plans, add-ons, recurring and usage-based charges in any combination. Every product automatically available for quoting and self-service without additional configuration.

Revenue recognition – Automated ASC 606 revenue recognition runs locally. Your deferred revenue schedules, journal entries, and audit trail don’t leave Australian infrastructure.

SaaS metrics – MRR, ARR, ACV, NRR, GRR and the rest. Calculated and stored in-region.

Customer portal – Both the hosted portal and the embeddable React components work with the Australian region. Your customers interact with data that stays in Australia.

Multi-entity support – If you operate multiple entities or bill through different legal entities, that structure is fully supported in the AU region.

APIs and SDKs – The GraphQL API and Ruby and Node.js SDKs all support the Australian region. Same integration patterns, same API surface.

Your data stays in Australia. Billing records, customer data, contract terms, revenue schedules, and audit logs are all stored in AWS Sydney and do not leave the region.
